Q: What does background tuning (distance-set type) mean on the LR-ZH500CP?
A: The sensor judges the target by its distance, not by how much light returns. Targets of any color or gloss, and objects behind the set point, are ignored. You tune the set distance once (one-shot tuning) and the DATUM indicator lights when tuning is accepted.
Q: What is the difference between LR-ZH500CP and LR-ZH500CN?
A: Only the output polarity: CP is PNP (sourcing) output, CN is NPN (sinking). Both share the same housing, optics, IP68/IP69K rating and M8 4-pin connector. Choose CP for European-style PLC inputs, CN for most Asian PLC inputs.
