Industrial Automation Cross-Reference Table

65 part numbers · 10 brands · Updated Oct 31, 2026

Use this table to go from the part number on a failed module to something you can actually buy. Every row is one model we hold engineering data for: the OEM number on the left, what we supply on the right, and how it ships. Rows are grouped by function, so a maintenance engineer replacing a fiber amplifier does not have to scroll past servo drives to find it.

Two kinds of row appear here, and the difference matters when you sign off the purchase order. Genuine rows are original manufacturer part numbers sourced to order. Aftermarket rows are compatible replacements that we build and sell under our own brand, matched on form, fit and function — they are never presented as OEM product.

How to read a row. A match means the mounting, the wiring and the signal function line up: same thread or bracket, same output type (NPN / PNP, NO / NC), same supply range, same connector family. It does not mean the internal circuit board is a copy of the OEM design, and it does not mean the unit will accept the OEM programming software. If your machine depends on a proprietary configuration file, say so before ordering — that is the one case where a cross-reference needs a second look.
No row matches that text. Send the label photo to our team — most unlisted numbers can still be matched within one business day.

Verification checklist before you commit

A cross-reference is a starting point, not a purchase order. These five checks catch nearly every mismatch we see in the field, and they take about ten minutes at the machine:

  1. Output type and logic. NPN versus PNP, NO versus NC. This is the single most common cause of a “dead on arrival” replacement — the part works, the PLC input does not see it.
  2. Supply voltage and current. Confirm the nameplate range (typically DC 10–30 V for sensors, 24 V DC for control, 380–440 V three-phase for drives) and the load the output has to switch.
  3. Mechanical interface. Thread size and pitch, sensing face, bracket hole spacing, shaft or flange dimensions on servo and drive kits. Measure the old part; do not trust the drawing.
  4. Connector and cable. Pin count, pinout, moulded versus terminal, and cable length. A 2 m cable cannot be stretched to 5 m without a junction — order the length you need.
  5. Environment. Ambient temperature, coolant or washdown, and salt fog on coastal sites. This is where our standard tropicalization (conformal coating, anti-salt-fog treatment) matters more than the model number.

If any of the five is unclear, photograph the old label and the terminal block and send both. We confirm compatibility in writing before the order ships, which is cheaper than a second shipment.

Notes on the sensor and fiber amplifier families

Sensors cause the most cross-reference confusion because the model code hides the two variables that matter: output type and whether the unit is a main unit or an expansion unit. In the Keyence FS-N series, for example, FS-N11N and FS-N41N are main amplifiers with their own display and control output, while FS-N12N and FS-N40 are expansion units that have no control output of their own and will not run standalone — they only work when connected to a main unit. Buying the wrong one of those two produces a part that looks correct and does nothing (FS-N40 is the zero-line expansion of the FS-N40 series; its main unit is FS-N41N). For the full side-by-side, see our FS-N11N vs FS-N12N vs FS-N40 comparison.

The same pattern repeats across brands: a suffix letter usually encodes NPN or PNP, a trailing P or N is the output, and a series number tells you whether you are looking at a standard, high-speed or long-range variant. When a customer sends only the first half of a model code, we ask for the full label — the last four characters decide whether the replacement works.

Cross-reference FAQ

Are these cross-reference matches guaranteed to be drop-in?

A cross-reference entry means the parts share the same mounting, wiring and signal function, so they normally drop in without rewiring. It does not mean the internal circuit is identical to the OEM design. Before production runs, confirm the four points in the verification checklist above (output type, supply voltage, connector, load), or send us the nameplate photo and we will confirm in writing.

What is the difference between the "Genuine" and "Aftermarket" rows?

Genuine rows are original manufacturer part numbers that we source to order as an independent seller — we are not an authorised distributor and the 12-month warranty is our own seller warranty. Aftermarket rows are compatible replacements built to the same form, fit and function, sold under our own brand and never presented as OEM product.

Do you have a part number that is not listed here?

The table covers the models we hold engineering data for. Most unlisted OEM numbers can still be matched: send the label photo, the wiring diagram and the machine model, and we will reply with the closest equivalent and its differences within one business day.

Why is availability shown as "sourced to order" instead of "in stock"?

Because it is accurate. Automation spares are ordered against a confirmed model and quantity, then inspected and tested before dispatch. Lead time is confirmed in the quotation — typically 1 to 3 weeks depending on the family and the destination.

Disclaimer. Aftermarket rows in this table are generic compatible replacements, NOT original OEM products. Genuine rows are original manufacturer parts supplied by an independent seller; we are not an authorised distributor of any brand listed, and the 12-month warranty on those items is our own seller warranty, not a manufacturer warranty. All brand names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to state compatibility. Cross-reference data is provided for engineering reference; verify the five points above against the physical part before installation.
